The server needs to know the speed of the slowest clients so that it can be programmed not to overload them. That will help you and everybody else who is racing avoid lag. I've got everybody's results but 2 now. (I think it's safe to count out Napo.) Now help everybody and post your results, okay?

I'm just letting you guys know what's up. Quite honest I'm not happy with my connection speed. Unfortunely this is what is available right now. So it is what it is.

The DL is about twice mine, for speed, so unless it is inconsistant and unreliable, I wouldn't complain too much !

I actually forgot that you hadn't submitted your upload speed, but your help is greatly appreciated, Krlos.

This is absolutely not about meeting a standard for entry. I guess the guys who are holding back are afraid that their results will get them in trouble. The only standard there has ever been is to pass a connection test. We would allow dialups to compete if they could race cleanly without lag. (Okay, Pace can't race cleanly, but he makes up for it in other ways.) So relax. My survey is purely an academic investigation into how best to configure the server.

And by the way, has anybody actually read my sig line?

Yeah. You're an overclocking FIEND ! But I doubt you're using that rig for F1C.
