XP with anything LESS than 256 will be SLOW. In fact, I found a jump in performance when I went from 256 to 512. ( Well, that's not really true. I had 512 in my office PC when my boss needed some ram for some dumb server or something and he stole 256 out of MY computer. So, in truth, I noticed a drop in performance from 512Mb to 256Mb. ) XP, with all it's "eye candy" needs more ram than Win 2000. But, considering the cost of RDRAM, I don't know if I'd make that purchase. You'll have 384Mb in yours, so that might work out OK. Just don't try anything that needs a fast CPU and plenty of RAM.

512 MB RAM will make it run much better with WinXP, but RAMBUS? Good luck. Might be worth binning it.
