Paint Shop Pro

Post by Koolbrown » Sun Dec 03, 2006 7:32 pm

I have Paintshop, not adobe. I used to be able to edit DDS files with it, but since I re-installed Paintshop, I cant do it anymore.

I am 95% certain the problem is that I dont have "These Required DLL's" which I should be able to download from the Nvida website with the Adobe plugin.

However, that link, is no longer there.

Can anyone else help me, perhaps someone who also uses Paintshop.

thanks.

Strangely enough, I still haven't been able to recify my Editing problems with Paint Shop Pro.

I cant open certain templates, but I can open others, and when I actually save a file, the program crashes when I try and save it as a DDS file.

I know this worked without problems for me before I got the new computer, but no luck now?

Does anyone have any recommendations, or should I just go and find a copy of Adobe Photoshop?

KB, Don't go out and get Photoshop, until you cantact me. Adobe gives BIG education discounts. I qualify for those.

Now, the first thing I would do is make sure that file type is STILL associated with Paintshop.

I haven't used Paint shop pro in a very long time, but I remember that it was relatively powerful for an amateur user. Photoshop will take some learning, but is infinitely more powerful. As for the DDS files, you just need to make sure you download the right plugin for them. If I find it I'll post a link.

I have all the right plug-ins, and it used to work for me, so I dont believe my issue is plug-in related.

I suspect that some of the newer templates for Rfactor are being released with versions that are too new for my PSP V7 to understand them.

That more than anything might be the reason for my trouble. I have a friend to mine who has Photoshop, so I may download it on my computer to see if that will resolve the issue.
