Video Card Drivers

Post by JoshJ81 » Sun Mar 04, 2012 9:54 am

In light of our big problems from Friday night with crashes and lockups. I have been wondering if any of our video drivers are out of date. Mine is and I'm about to update it. However, I only make this as a suggestion for everyone to check into and I do not make it a mandatory check. If you feel this could help you, then by all means do so and report here if you see changes for the better or the worst. I normally do not update my drivers that often because I normally do not see any differences or fixes. But if I wait long enough, maybe I'll see something.

If want to check to see your version, go to Start/Run.../ then type in dxdiag/hit enter. Click on the Display tab and on the right side you will see the last time you updated. In my case, I have not updated since July of 2010. I should probably update huh?

Please set a restore point or find the last updated driver you are using just encase you have issues with the new drivers, that is highly recommended!
