Wheel issue

Post by Shabo » Wed Apr 03, 2013 7:35 am

I had a vanilla rF install and my steering wheel was all setup and doing great for the cars that came with the sim... I installed the FiHS mod and now when I get into the sim my steering ratio seems to be all out of wack with the car. How do I make it 1 for 1 so I don't have to turn my physical wheel 900 degrees? I attached a video to see what I mean

First is rFactor where its messed up, does rfactor have some hidden folder to tweak?

Second is rFactor 2 where is it "perfect"

Thanks for the help :)

I would change your wheel degrees of rotation in your PLR file. It's probably real high. That is something else I can help you with tonight if you don't get it figured out. I'll be on TS and Server around 6pm Pacific time

ok sweet I will try that out tonight. I got it to work in rF2 and 1 now by changing it in the Logitech Profiler. but I will try out the PLR change and see if that's any better. I will meet you on TS tonight as well, I have a few more questions but I can wait.

That setting would probably be in the controller ini not plr file.

controller.ini file, Most likely, the setting is 270° or more. it should be 180 for true wheel movement you will see on the screen. AKA, you move your real wheel, the on screen wheel mimics exactly your moves in terms of degrees traveled.
