Official Results of Round 6 - Monaco

Results

The results of the race at Monaco have been finalised and no adjustments have been made in the final order, however penalties in several incidents have been issued and are as follows.

Pace Racing has been given a four grid spot demotion for the upcoming qualifying result at Montreal. Pace was involved in two incidents, one involving spinning Koolbrown and the other involving an accident between he and Mauricio on the final lap, neither of which resulting in a loss of position for either drivers.

CKS has been given a four spot grid demotion for the qualifying session at Montreal. At the start of the Monaco race, while running in 6th position CKS used the pit lane exit road to avoid a collision in T1, and in doing so he gained three positions. CKS did not concede these positions that he gained by cutting the circuit and so has been penalised.

Oculus Dexter has been given a two spot grid demotion for the upcoming qualifying result at Montreal. At the start of the race at Monaco, he had a collision with a driver ahead, Daniel Johnson, which caused Daniel to spin and crash into the barriers. It was concluded however that this contact was the result of a lag spike, evident in numerous replays and so Oculus has not been penalised for the contact. He has been penalised however for not waiting for Daniel, because while he could not avoid the contact, it was clear that he did hit Daniel and caused him to spin. And so we take reference to the rule stating:
28. Drivers who punt an opponent stand a much better chance of avoiding penalty if they wait for the other car to retake its position. If your opponent needs to pit to repair the damage, you should therefore wait until his repairs are complete and allow him to rejoin the track ahead of you, or your sporting gesture may be in vain. The salient point that will be judged upon is that no one should take some one's place illegally. Whenever a car spins off in front of you and you're close enough to that car to think that there might be the slightest possibility that you punted them due to a lag hit, it is your responsibility to stop and wait for that driver to regain the track. Failure to do so will invite penalty by the judging panel.
All drivers aswell must remember to remain quiet during the races! NO CHATTING!

i sure hoped it was something like that and not driver error because it was a hell of a punt. to start on the outside of the front row at monaco and have it ruined in the first corner pissed me off pretty bad, but those things will happen. it was really a shame, i ran consistent laps for a long time after that with as much fuel as it would hold. hell i had to try something after a 140 second pitstop to repair damage, but there was no hope being almost two laps down. o well on to canada...
