Thanks John,

Is it too late to shuffle the team selection around some, where Alaster and I form up a challenger to the Constructors Title with both of us moving to Sauber?

I think both Alaster and I are willing to move in that direction - I am.

Anyone else getting video studders at this track? It's terrible. I lowered all the detail and it was just as bad and everything on full or high. Any ideas?

I don't know if this helps but at the same time as Sean was having trouble I was having no trouble with frame rates.

I put a normal d3d9.dll in the rfactor folder, and stuttering went away. Put the d3d9.dll with all that stupid HUD stuff back in the directory and stutters came back. I guess back to simple HUD I had last year.

Josh found a glitch in the mod for the first round. Please have the RED (standard) tire installed in your vehicle upgrades section.

We will mention it in practice and before qual on server.

What a way to start the season. I'm not sure if it was me or Josh that was warping, but holy cow that was so distracting I drove right off the track. :D I would of tried to fix my car since I went head on, but my engine quit on me.
Oh well on to the next race.

Damn, sorry...I guess my new connection is not as stable up here, very sorry if I distracted you guys...not the way I would want to win (especially since I had no idea given that everyone looked stable to me).

I had a great battle with Stuff, but I'm not sure what happened after lap 20ish (my warping causing distraction maybe?). Sorry for the tap early on, just race rust and it surely got my attention to race better.

Nah Josh it didn't cause me any issues, might have if I'd been close enough to pass :P.

I made a decent start and got away into the lead. Josh was a bit quicker but I was able to stay in front until shortly after the first stops, after that I was following a couple seconds back for a while, but then I made a couple mistakes and dropped to 5-6s back and just didn't have the pace to close the gap. After the final stops it was clear I wasn't going to be catching up so I cruised to the finish. I would have liked to have been fighting till the end, but given Australia isn't a track I feel very confident on, I'll gladly take the podium :).

Well considering the lack of practice and general setup that i ran which i was still adjusting before qually :) i think i can be proud of third though not the distance i was behind 1st and 2nd.
Qually was ok but still not used to this car yet. I seem to have no grip and havnt figured out setting it up yet.
So just to finish the race would be a bonus. And at the start there was a mercedes lost control and all i could do not to hit him but had to go off track to avoid him. Then i was playin catch up but cause my car so loose i had piled wing on the car and had no speed. Was way off the pace with an ill handling car and took about 30 laps to start to have a little confidence in it and even then had a few loose close calls. My tire management was crap aswell. Multiple stops but hopefully when i figure out setting up the car this will improve.
I think i was 50 plus seconds back so to get a podium was a bonus and ill take it until i can get the car more competitive.
Hopefully Ruben can make the next track. Lookin forward to clawing back that second im currently missing.

Congrats Josh, race winner and Welcome 2013 FiHS F1 World Championship!

I had a good setup, and with low fuel load I felt confident and could attack the turns. I narrowly missed out on Q2, but I was satisfied with my fast lap and was closer to the leaders than I expected.

Too bad I was not able to adjust to the heavy fuel load at the start of the race. The car became sluggish and I was braking too late on some corners. I spun it and fell to my customary last place. I tried to fight back but I could not find a rhythm. As the car lightened I was able to put in some decent laps. Got up to P6 when at lap 29, the brakes failed and I went off the track into the gravel trap at Turn 1.

After my retirement I watched the race from the pits. I saw Josh warp once, can't remember what lap. Everything was ok on my end at the race start and when Josh lapped me on the track during the race.

Thanks all and see you at the next!
YOU MUST CONQUER THE WILD COUNTRY TO WIN THE RACE FOREVER!
