Does anyone have any questions before race time on friday about Tire files? You will have to email the files from Qual and Race to JohnW after race to get points.

I just wanted to check to make sure everyone has it set up correctly, since we have some new drivers.

Were are the files saved to folder/s?

You need to run the FIHSsetup in the main rfactor folder and that will ask you where you want to save them. Then run a race offline like a lap and make sure it saved a file there.

The China Track starts the race when the last red light lights up not when the red lights go out, when off-line racing the A.I.

Those who watch the timer for the signal to start the race may find those that wait for the red lights to go out: waiting.

Those who may not know yet may want to know that failure to tell the Pit Crew to not make repairs that don't need to be repaired may end up with a long stay in the pits and as I've been told, and now I know, it is necessary to have 2 buttons: 1 for turning off and on the ignition and another one for starting the car; or a macro of some kind on one button.

Some damages don't appear to slow the car down much and so there is no need to spend 5 laps in the pits fixing them: wings on the other hand are worth the wait to replace.

Thought I fixed that top graphic, but I guess I forgot to reupload it. No one should have 3 podiums yet. :)

I got that fixed Glyn. I fixed a few things. I was experimenting with the program. I think I got it down now.

Turned out to be too slow of a car at 1 Pit Stop for me, but I am sure that improvement is possible at 1 Pit Stop. This race was fantastic on my end, having a few battles with cars charging from behind, them being much faster, so I let them by, and a few battles with cars ahead, in particular Cooper, where our lap times were close enough to inspired driving closer to an unfamiliar edge. I missed having Captain Slow near in the race, as his times were faster, and he obviously ran into some trouble. Alaster was considerably farther ahead, on the same lap, but not reachable with my slower car, even with 1 Pit Stop.

I had found, yesterday, a loose position sender (potentiometer) on my throttle before the race, and fixed it, and then found that much of my frustration in setting up the car for China was due to spikes in the throttle information. Now I may find ways to go faster and keep the tires from wearing out so fast.

Bahrain is next Friday so there is still much work to do on my end, so as to gain competency and therefore become more competitive.
