Man this is a fun track.

This is my first race last season and I have an old setup, but it is not well balanced. I am going to record my setup findings in my own setup thread, but I can say here that I hope other drivers can find the time to drive laps as many nights as possible.

I will see you at the track if so.

Pacific Coast Time for me so I'm on Early on Sunday night, and it was fun watching the GP race on Television for the first time this season - no more pay per view?

are you talking the GP2 cars or GP as in Grand Prix?

Ill try to be on as many nights as I can. I lived for the last 10 years in boston and I am now back in Chicago in my hometown, so if you follow hockey, you know what I will be doing. Lets just hope the HAWKS sweep the Bruins so that I can get many nights of practice in :)

Grand Prix as in Formula 1 was on regular ESPN television for some time until this season, and then the broadcast contract, or whatever, was sold, or moved, to NBC for this season. Combine that with our move from Direct TV to Dish Network and I don't get to see any Formula 1 races until this afternoon when I happened upon the NBCSN channel on the list. I saw live television of a Formula 1 race once again.

I missed racing last night and tomorrow night is probably a no go too; so Sunday night is racing for me.

I got ya. I've had an "in" with my local cable company for several years so to be honest other then the switch to NBC I haven't missed a beat with F1 action.

Sorry I bailed on you tonight. I've had some serious back issues since this winter and from time to time I literally go numb in the legs and have to get out of the chair take a few pills and lie down for a while why the meds do their thing. Ill be back on later tonight hopefully

Bad news is bad. Good news is you might be able to drive. I'll have to break for dinner at some point. Take care, sometimes it really isn't easy, or it is down right hell on earth.

Yea. I have a appt. with a specialist later this week hopefully he has a solution that doesn't involve pills to manage the pain. Good news is I'm feeling better already. Ill be back on in a few. This track is a blast to race on. I can't get away!

Shabo,

Find a good doc for the back ! They have out patient surgery and arthroscopic procedures to take care of things. If your legs go numb, it's probably in the L4 or L5 area. My wife has a bad back too. Some surgery and periodic chiropractic doc visits and she is doing OK.

Yea. It's all good. I messed it up at road America last summer on a track day on the bike. Hit a wall after I laid it down and shattered my L5. Didnt have insurance at the time so I couldn't afford anything other them the initial ER visit to find out I messed up bad. Now I've got good insurance and the time to take care of it. I swear. 2 things I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. A DUI and back problems. :). Not to worry I'm seeing a surgeon that just last week made the news out here for managing to give a paraplegic move my back in his hands so he's got to be good right?

Ok back to this track. Man is it one of my favorites on the f1 schedule!

Anyone feel like next Friday the 21st, doing a few 10 lap sprint races at Silverstone? Just thought it might be something a little different with another long break between races.

I think I can make it. We'll have relatives in town, so I can tell for sure.

So long as I'm not stuck at work or still having back problems (so far so good this weekend), I will be all in for a quick practice race. And lucky me the Blackhawks don't play on Fridays for the remainder of the Stanley Cup. The more the merrier
