Janos put out a car update. If you haven't gotten it, go here and get it. You'll need it to join the server.

Server loaded up with Shanghi and updated car.

Please note: I got the date wrong on the race. Don't show up on Sunday and expect a crowd. It's Monday as usual.

Not sure if I'm going to race. this update is undriveable for me 200 degrees tire temps and 4 pit stops is not for me. can't even be bothered to practice.

Hi

Juan
That brake duct at 10% is way to low that is not enough cooling for brakes.
I am not on my computer but from memory I run more then 50% and I am not hard on brakes.
I am sure others (who are better then me) will give you some advice but go higher then 10% on cooling

Hi Juan,

Adding to what Ruben said, if the brakes get over 970 Deg C they start wearing faster. Average temp should not exceed 500 Deg.

Here's a link to a brake wear calculator Sean Higgins made. You can
run your setup for 10 laps or so, note the wear, and use the calculator to see if your brakes will last for the whole race distance.

Didn't learn much really my tire wear was not good. Happy with P3 because of pit penalty. Congrats Otto way to go Jeff.

In the last races I set it at 70%, in this race it was at 10%, both failed, but I understand it is better set it 80% or higher.

The brake DUCT at 10% is too low. You will build up heat. I ran mine at 20%. What was your Engine Braking Map set at ? I run mine at 0 to make the engine help brake as much as possible. That way I can get off the brake pedal sooner. Some people run the brake pedal pressure at different levels. I've seen from 75% to 95% for pedal force. I'm in the high 80s to low 90s most of the time.

I think you should also make sure your PEDALS are calibrated when you launch the game. When you press them you should see the red got from ZERO to 100. If it doesn't go all the way to 0, you could be dragging the brakes all the way around the track. Make sure you haven't gotten in the habit of resting your foot on the pedal and making it drag. If you need to give your self a slight dead zone so if you are touching the pedal a little bit, it doesn't actually do anything in the game.
