2019 F1 Series: Race 20

Post by JohnW » Thu Nov 07, 2019 6:03 pm

Waiting for Janos to put the Brazil track on his web page to put it on our server. I'm out of town until Tues, so if you talk nice to Janos, you might get him to install it on our server. Or, wait until I get back on late Monday to do it.

Always open for suggestions, but, I am occupied on alternate Thursday evenings and SRH events are on Thursdays, so that day of the week would be really hard to manage.

So, I guess the short answer would be...Nope!

That was a big downer. I had been making progress and being able to race a few cars, but last night was not my night. EVERYONE was 2 seconds faster or more. ON a short track, that meant I got blue flagged a lot. I was also going for a long run with the hard tires and that meant I was out of sequence with many drivers, who would pass me, go in the pits, and them pass me again, a few laps later. I was really keeping it clean until an unexpected slip which cost me a front wing at about the 2/3rd distance. 41 seconds in the pits. I guess it was more than a front wing. Once back, I gave up on the Med tires, which really seemed worse than the hards and went with softs. Caution be damed ! But I couldn't get any faster times. Then, I think I got two laps behind the grid and parked it. I would have had a handful of more points as Glyn couldn't continue, Craig and Deuce collided, and John Cook lost connection, towards the end.

The car felt good, but it just ended up slow, even though I had less wing the the winner.
