I noticed F1 RFT has finally released on rFactor Central. There are many car skins you can get there. Let it be known, that none of them are by me. I'm still working on all skins 100% and will not be releasing what we have to public. Thanks. _________________

FINALLY STR... I hate this skin Mostly because this is just an ugly car to begin with IMO. The for some reason they threw that nasty red blob on the nose..WTF! I did my best, to which ended kind of fast because my patience ran out fast, lol! Enjoy

Hi, I know I'm new here, just thought I'd post some observations.
It looks like the RFT 2009 mod is being used as a base, I haven't read round the forum so I assume this is the case. The Aero Wheel trims should be removed, I'm sure this has been thought of already, also, some playing around with the Alpha channels, will help to give the skins some more depth. Have you considered using the Cubemaps from LMT's F60, again would require some alpha channel adjustments but would certainly add to the mod. Front wheels can be narrowed slightly to emulate real F1, this can be easily done with simed. One of the downfalls of the RFT mod, was the ride height and wheel track width, this can also be easily adjusted in the HDV file using the graphical offset to increase the height of the cars, and under the Suspension heading, adjustments can be made to wheel track, would be worth looking at the values set in the LMT F60 Mod for this.
Anyway like I said just some observations, and great work on the skins, they look very good indeed. |

I did indeed use RFT as a base. I have readjusted/updated the hdv to have as close to the numbers given so far. But I'm assuming your also talking about a different setting since you mentioned "in graphical offset". But does that change the handling of the car?
This mod is more that just using RFT, it's has my own car and tire physics. I used RFT's models only nothing else. However, I'd like you to PM me with some of your ideas if your interested to discuss more? _________________

| Hi, I realise that you would be using a new set of physics, however the RFT models where made too close the the reference plain, and therefore, they are graphically too low to the ground. One solution is to adjust the height of all the mesh files and adjust the suspension and wheel positions to suit. This however is very time consuming. A quick fix is to adjust the model height in the HDV file using the graphical offset. This does not change the handling or the physics of the cars, it simply adjusts the models to look graphically correct, in this case to be at the correct height ingame. Track widths for the RFT mod where set too narrow, this can be adjusted and the track width will then look correct. Certainly PM me I am more than willing to help. |

Cool. rFactor mod "Geek Speak" ! It makes sense. Fisco wants a body lift kit for the graphics to look right. _________________
