As everyone might know or notice by my avatar, I'm a huge Colts fan and today has been a very nervous day for me. I've ignored the urge to watch all the breakdowns and media hoopla for the 2 weeks. I had a lot help from the mod keeping me busy. But today I've been cleaning up the house for the party and listening into NFL network's show all day and now I'm nervous and very excited for the big game.

I just wanted to say GO COLTS and good luck today!!! I hope everyone else enjoys the SB as much as I will, win or loss. Very Happy

I didn't get into a pool for the score this year, so I don't think I'll watch.

In LA, there is no team. Some old lady moved the RAMS to St. Louis. I enjoyed the year they won... by about 1 yard. Now, I don't really have a team. I just cheer for players. Kurt Warner is out. Reggie Bush is from USC, so that's about as close as I can get.

Go Colts... There's no way the Saints should be in the game

Wow I have to say I didn't expect the Saints to win.

Yeah, well, the Colts were the underdog not the Saints. On paper the Saints were ranked better. It was a close game the whole time, I just don't understand the INT towards the end. Manning is smarter than that.

Yep. I agree. I just read the game summary. I watch part of the game at my in-laws. I tell you what, the Saints have a really good field goal kicker !

Sorry about the result, Josh.

The Saints' defense was solid. All those goal line plays they saved.

I had flashbacks watching Reggie Wayne run routes, to Moss in Oakland. Just jogging down the field.

I watched about 3 mins, oh well. I guess the Saints have a lot of funding to help boost the spirits of the town, since hurricane and all, i.e., it was all rigged or something.

maybe reggie wayne was hiding some injury, he didn't look like as fast as he should be... maybe austin collie got the nerves, dropping some catchable balls... maybe the saints defense adjusted enough to cover clark and garcon in the second half... maybe manning got peytoff...

Brees was simply the better quarterback. This was always going to be an offensive game dictated by which quarterback would step up. Brees made no mistakes, Manning only made one. That made for a great game. Brees was simply phenomenal when it came to accuracy.

And as has been said, only Dallas Clark stepped up to deliver for Manning. Garcon and Collie had big drops and I don't think that Wayne caught anything worth a damn....that 4th down failed catch that ended the game was really the epitome of the Colts offense...well placed balls, but the receivers couldn't handle them.

It was the same problem the Saints receivers had against Minnesota two weeks beforehand, but when it came down to the Super Bowl, the Saints receivers were perfect.

The Colts running game was quite good, Addai was a big surprise. The Colts ground game was better than the Saints in fact, but when Brees started moving the ball so quickly and so efficiently through the air, Manning had to do the same, and his receivers failed the game really.

Another element that let the Colts down was that they never pressured Brees in the second half. They just kept letting him throw...which was poor defensive play calling. As the Saints defense showed, even the best quarterback's options are limited if you constantly put the pressure on him to release the ball.

Point is, it was a great game Razz
