Hey guys I got a Team Speak 3 server going. I thought it would be cool to have one on race day, and even on practices. I hope it's ok with the admins to use it durring the race, so we can talk to each other. I made TEAM rooms if you want to talk to just your team mate, and a main room. There is also a FIHS Race Control room for the admins to talk in if they want to get away from the other chit chat.
IP and link to download TeamSpeak3 are below.
67.20.120.172:9987. -- TS SERVER NEW IP

http://www.goteamspeak.com/?page=downloads --TeamSpeak3

Just choose a nick name and put IP+port in the address and you're set.

There is no PW, and you guys are free to use it ANY TIME. You can use it WED nights, or when ever doing what ever. It's a 25 person server, so have fun. I really hope guys use this durring the race, assuming it's ok with the admins.

Ispanda and I just joined and it's working great! This is pretty awesome. Question though Higpup, is this running on your pc or is it a separate server? Great work dude, I'm very impressed!

That's phenomenal Sean, thanks! Everyone should download and install the software, we will be using it from here on. Please install it and get comfortable with it BEFORE our race on Friday. It's easy to use, and really quite awesome. Now we can have driver meetings before the race and drivers can then break out into their own teams and chat privately with each other during the race. This will be especially helpful during unplanned pit stops to warn your teammate.

You can also set keys to talk to people even if they aren't in your "channel" and in another channel. That way if John wants to talk to Pace and they can no matter what channel they are in.

You shouldn't need a pw to get logged in. Just choose a nick name and make sure you have the ip + port #

Just so it's clear. You guys CAN give the TeamSpeak IP out to anyone you want, to use it anytime you want. If we start getting too many people on durring race day, and members can't get in I'll make a password for that night. HAVE FUN! Laughing

How do you do that Sean. I can't seem to figure it out, and that would be really handy for me and the rest of the admins.

Ok, I can join other rooms, but why can't I join in this room.. This is what I have done and spent about 1-2 hours with Aldo and Pace trying to fix it.

These are what we have already tried:

1. Turf OFF firewall
2. Open the PORT in router for teamspeak
3. Uninstall/Reinstall
4. Tested Teamspeak with laptop using WIFI, guess what, it worked.. but I had to go to balcony for the WiFi. So can't really hear good from the balcony.

Now, Pace mentioned about Teamspeak that there might be 2 different versions, such as Team Speak 2 RC1 and RC2.. If thats the case, where do I find these files. I will look aswell. This is not very important, but I will definetrely sneak in ur rooms to hear ur strategies! Smile

We used TeamSpeak in a test session last night with about 5 guys at once. IT WAS FRIGGIN AWESOME! There was something so awesome about being able to talk to other drivers while actually in the car. I typically get bored after a stint or two of testing after doing this for so many years, but last night I was in there for hours. When we weren't driving, we were all talking with one another. This truly brings a new dimension to our league, both for testing and racing. I would strongly encourage EVERYONE to get this software installed, and configure it BEFORE our race tomorrow night. You may have to spend some time playing with the settings to get it to sound right, so don't wait until the last minute, get it working now! We will be using this for our pre race meetings moving forward, so if you don't have it, you're going to be missing important information. We will also use it for in game messages, such as Red Flags. For teammates, this tool will be invaluable, because if someone has to pit for long damage repairs, they can talk about it with their teammate first to coordinate the appropriate pit strategy.

Yeah LionHeart, I got on just now, you may need to select Anonymous rather than Registered, and put your username in the nickname field.
