I'm with you and Bill on this , Adam, but I already pulled the trigger on the " Pick a damn track already ! " sentiment.

hmmm. I don't see where I can update to 1118. I only see 1117 as the highest option in the beta tab.

Update: I took the beta tab and selected PUBLIC version and it was going to let me join. If that helps anyone else. I'm probably the last to figure this out. :)

I suspect that this is not a "beta" release, to just having it set to normal allows it to install.

If you have it set to allow betas, the 1118 does not even show up anywhere. I hate steam.

You don't have to run the public beta (new UI). But apparently if you were using the public beta, it didn't automatically update to the new version 1118. So you just have to opt out of the public beta and then opt back in again (if you want to use the new UI).

If you weren't on the public beta, it should've automatically updated to v1118. At least it did for me.

I tried the new UI again with this new update and I'm not sure that it's there yet.

won't be making tonights race and most likely will be out for a little while.
if someone wants to run the red mist i would have no issue with that and
when i return i can just pick up whatever is available. full rase stints are a
little more then my back is liking right now so it will be until i'm better with
it. good luck and have fun!! Deuce!

Monaco is the track where you weakness in driving is highlighted. Every year, I want to race the track, and try to have zero unscheduled stops. I don't think I ever have. I thought I had a pretty good car, after about 10 laps of practice. At least it felt that way. But, after three instances where the back stepped out and I had to get a new front wing, I parked the car. I was pulling out of someones way just about every lap, so I couldn't compete with my own "fastest" lap.

I've decided that unless i can get in at least the same about of practice laps as the race is long, before race day, I'll just admin the race, but not roll out a car. It's just too frustrating to to be that far off the pace.

Congrats to all how finished on the lead lap, and then those that just finished. My hat is off to you. Well done Otto for the win.
