Post by JohnW »

Server is up with last seasons Circuit of the Americas as Janos has not yet posted an updated version.

Sorry, I ran a Windows update and got lost in YouTube and forgot to relaunch rF2 when it rebooted. It's back up now.

I am able to join SRH but not FiHS sever. Did you loaded the latest SRH version or last years?

As I posted at the top, it was last seasons because Janos hadn't posted a new one yet. Of course he does after I get the server setup.

Track updated to match SRH.

I owe a big apology to my teammate John Cook for crashing into him at the first turn.

Meant to leave you a lane on the outside but misjudged it an couldn't hold it.

Really screwed up, John. Very sorry.

I owe you one. Or two...

Rather frustrating race. my consistency was all over the place. From, " That was a good lap! " to " How the hell did I lose a second and a half?!"

I lost time once because my teammate pitted just in front of me and I thought we shared a pit box, so I waited. Only to find out my box was a few in front of him. Then later I got on the gas a bit much at turn 1 and looped it and lost my front wing. A long lap after that. The only good thing I had was the brakes didn't fail, but I was three laps behind and only 20 seconds from being lapped by the field.

What I don't understand is how can the 'fast guys' run through that last right hander at 150mph, and still make the straight line speeds of low DF. I ran relatively low wings to have speed in the straights, and could only run maybe 130-135 in that last right hand corner.

Oh, and after the field left me, I just quit. Zero enjoyment not even racing for last place.
And pretty much expect the same tonight.
