rFactor 2 Beta Build 68 and 69 INFO

It seems I missed this, anyways, rFactor 2 Beta Build 68 and 69 has released (earlier this week it seems). Here is the change log they posted.
Tim Wheatley of ISI wrote: From readme.txt of Build 68-69.

UPDATE 2 Changelog (March 14, 2012):
======================================

GRAPHICS:
---------------------------
Some fixes to overlay/gauge rendering to make it more SLI friendly.
Fixed HDR problem for frame times greater than adapt ET.
Avoid flashing one frame of the options while driving in realtime (could happen if server went to next track).
Fixed up various HDR issues.

GAMEPLAY:
----------------------------
More complete tire heat from damping (currently optional but won't be forever).
Improved tire damping heat application and made more configurable.
Improved thread stability.
Prevent display and system sleeping (ded servers will only prevent system sleeping).
Added new finish criteria "% Track Laps" and "% Track Time" in case you don't want the percentage of both which is what "% Track Defaults" does.

SOUNDS:
----------------------------
Doubled the maximum number of sounds.

AI:
----------------------------
Added fix for AI not to avoid other cars in private session (since they're invisible).
Improved terrain sampling so that AI physics handles painted lines correctly.

PLUGINS:
----------------------------
Added track IR plugin.
Fixed logical error that would have prevented some plugins from running properly.
Tweaked plugin message interface to allow chat commands.
Added chat commands to results stream.
Some other plugin additions.

UI:
----------------------------
Added new filters to mp lobby.
Fixed bug where one frame of mis-sized vehicle or track selection shows up on main menu coming back from switching RFMs.
Added a button action to force reload of car spinner. (so modders can update the loose skin dds and see it in game immediately.)
Increased camera mobility around ôReflected Floorö showroom.
Tracking power loss in tire tool.

As well, there is yet ANOTHER nVidia graphics driver that has been released this week as well. Some people/testers at that ISI forum are reporting as much as 50% increase in performance. Might be worth a look.

I haven't touched RF2 since I knew we weren't going to use it this season. :)

I have only tried the new builds once or twice since realizing it's not F1 friendly yet. As slow as this is going, I'm not even sure we will see a final version anytime soon. I'm not quite sure what they are doing for this long amount of time.

They are trying to find another way for the user to pay for development. :)

Hello
Well they said up front that the beta testing was going to be at least 6 months and could be longer.
But even beyond that they will be updating and adding new content even after the release.
So you have to realize that a "final version" might be years.

Look at RF1 it was 2 or 3 years in and they where still adding tracks and cars and updates.

I know there are some guys that are having problems but and yes there are bugs
But I think it is awesome and it will only get better and better MHO

I understand all that, Ruben. So far, the only thing I like about RF2 is the weather system.

I get that Ruben, but when you have sedan roll over going over curbs in a turn. Not to realistic yet. That was my main gripe. I hope they get it rocking, because I can see the potential. :)

Yes lots of potential and a lot of respect and trust in ISI
And that is why it leads to really like it and see how awesome this sim is and will be.

Beside the bugs like cars flipping for no reason,
I can not say why because it has not happen to me well I have flipped it but it was my driving it just not flipped I actully had it side ways and I went in to the curb and I flipped ::):

But right now the
Weather is very good Not perfect but it is being fixed worked on. And I like Josh would race on RF2 for this reason only.
FFB is really outstanding MHO best I have felt in years, Here is where I thought RF1 has been lacking since it came out and it is still like that.
Then you have the tire model (Never done before that I am a where of) still needs some fixing but it is really cool.
and the tracks drying lines and the having different temps threw out the track Example it will be cooler on track under the trees Shadows there will be less rain hitting the surface there stuff like that just gives me
? but any way just love where this sim is going.

Is it perfect no will it ever be no nothing is ever perfect.
And be leave me I am not arguing with anyone nor am I trying to defend I am just in conversation here and giving my humble opinion.

I really hope they get a few more bugs worked out and we can use this for a "fun" series in the near future.
